Painter Vince Bánsághi was born on December 27, 1881 in Resicabánya [Romania]. In 1904 he studied painting with Zsigmond Vajda, and from 1905 at the Budapest Academy of Fine Arts with Tivadar Zemplényi and Károly Ferenczy. In 1911-1912 he attended the Julian Academy in Paris. In 1912 he settled in Helemba. In 1908 he first exhibited his works at the National Salon. He painted mainly lyrical landscapes. He painted altarpieces and other church paintings of notable people (Kéménd, Szalka). He died on March 26, 1960 in Helemba.
