On the other side of the tombstone of the 1848-49 Hungarian soldier and former member of parliament, the text "We Remember" written by László Mislai in 2000 can be read. ; ; "JÓZSEF BALÁSHÁZY, the venerable Nestor of the old days, a soldier of the 1848-49 war, a former member of parliament, died in Király-Helmecze at the age of 93, and Zemplén County was represented at his funeral by a delegation. The old man was a chief bailiff in Bihar County in 1848, was elected a member of parliament in 1849 and participated in the Debrecen parliament. After the War of Independence, he fled to Hungary, after the compromise he was the chief bailiff of the Király-Helmecze district, and after the separation of the judiciary from the public administration, he was a district judge for a long time. The old man talked a lot about Lajos Kossuth, who was his student friend and playing buddy in Sátoraljaújhely, and later an enthusiastic supporter at the Zemplén meetings." - they write about him in the obituary column of the 47th issue of the Sunday Newspaper in 1897.
