The Izsap cemetery

The cemetery was formed around the first stone church of the settlement, built in the 16th century. The church was burned down by the Turks, its traces can still be seen on the hill visible in the cemetery today. In 2013, there were 300 graves in the cemetery. In this cemetery, we find the graves of the people of Izsap who influenced the history, social and cultural development of the once independent settlement (e.g. in 1848). The monument to the heroic dead of World War I-II, and in 2013 the headstone erected in memory of the national guards and patriots of 1848.
