Monument to the Whisky Heroes of World War I
Statue, monument, memorial plaque
In the park next to the church, there is a memorial column built of rectangular, raw blocks on a five-stepped pedestal surrounded by a chain-link fence. On top of it is a triple-heap shape with a double cross. On one side of the column, on a large black marble plaque, you can read the names of the twenty-eight soldiers from Visby, who, according to the plaque, "were heroes, they died for the country." After the reunification, the monument served as a flag-bearer.
