In the courtyard of the Catholic church is a monument to the Catholic victims of World War I. The obelisk-shaped monument has an angel on top and was made in 1931 by the stonemason Feller from Érsekújvár.

IN THE 1914-1918 / WORLD WAR / FALLEN AND DISAPPEARED / PERBETEI ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH / IN MEMORY OF HEROES / GRACE ESTABLISHED. / Your unmarked graves, who knows where / Your dusty bones are scattered everywhere / Today, perhaps, the graves of heroes are a field / And there is no one to shed a tear at their graves, / Proclaim, granite column, they are not forgotten, / Because the tears of widows and orphans flow here. // Our fervent prayer for you, may your blood that has been shed / bring us peace. / 35 names // Parents with aching hearts, widows / orphans and brothers, do not weep! / Hear the comforting word of Jesus / I am the resurrection and the life / he who believes in me, even though he dies, will live / John 11:25. // They rest, the heroic sons / after raging battles. / 35 names
