The Arad Puszta belfry

Building, structure

The means of building the Czechoslovak nation-state, the land reform and colonization in the Arad Puszta, took place in 1923, with the division of Baron Ullmann's large estate. ; The Augsburg Evangelical Parish in Kisújfalu was established in 1926-27 by Slovaks who had immigrated from Romania and the former Yugoslavia under the leadership of teacher Juraj Botík, who was also the cantor of the congregation, but also undertook the preaching if necessary. They were allowed to hold a service once a month through the service of the Evangelical pastor from Érsekújvár. Although a school and a belfry were built in 1936 for the 15 Arad settlers, in the absence of a church, they could only hold home services. ; After World War II, new Slovak settlers arrived from Myjava. At that time, the congregation decided to belong to the Köbölkút parish, where there was a house of prayer and a pastor. The Evangelical congregations of Bátorkeszi and Párkány were also affiliated with Köbölkút. The pastor of the congregation was Miloslav Stúchly, who served the congregations entrusted to him until 1993. Around this time, congregational life also became more lively, with services held twice a month. After his death, the congregation was served by the pastors of Érsekújvár. Since 2002, by episcopal decree, Mgr. Vlasta Uhrinová, a pastor from Köbölkút, has been performing congregational duties among the severely diminished Evangelicals of Arad.
