The grave of Anna Udvarnoky, who was convicted as a result of the events of 1848-49

In the middle of the cemetery, a wrought iron fence surrounds the grave in which members of the Udvarnoky family are buried, and whose stone cross also serves as the central cross of the cemetery. The inscription regarding Anna Udvarnoky: “MISQUE ANNA HERDER BORN IN KIS – JÓKAI UDVARNOKY LAJOSNÉ DIED ON THE 24TH DAY OF CHRISTMAS 1864 IN THE 75TH YEAR OF HER LIFE” ; “On August 9, the Bratislava Kriegsgericht judged a woman: Anna Kisjókai Udvarnoky, widow of the landowner Lajos Udvarnoky (born in Moravia, 47 years old, Catholic, mother of eight children, two sons named Béla and Árpád served in the Hungarian insurgents) was sentenced to three years in prison and 50 thousand forints in compensation for collusion with the enemy.” ; (Kumlik: Martyrs of the War of Independence in Bratislava, 113)
