Monument to the victims of World War I in Tósnyárasd
Statue, monument, memorial plaque
In World War I, the village of Tósnyárasd had 26 heroic dead. Their memory was immortalized on a memorial plaque in the Roman Catholic church of Tósnyárasd in 1932. Following this, in 1934, in memory of the heroic dead, a memorial cross was erected at the end of the village, along the road leading to the old cemetery, by János Fehér and his wife Eleonó Varga. After 1975, when the new cemetery was established in the village, the Tósnyáras Municipality had the monument moved here.
