Lajos Ambruskó was born in Vámosújfalu on 18 August 1879. He completed his schooling and theology in Budapest and Esztergom. The Czechs initiated proceedings against him several times during the occupation for his patriotic behavior. He was the parish priest of the village between 1909 and 31 December 1952, that is, for 43 years. He was one of the most prominent parish priests. From 1942 he was an archbishop's councilor. He died on 3 January 1953 in Nádszeg. ; His grave can be found in the old cemetery in Nádszeg. János Csaplár worked as a chaplain in the village from the spring of 1949 to July 1949, and then Jenő Farkas until August 1952. From August 1952 to December 31, Imre Lakatos also served as chaplain in Nádszeg, and then, after the death of Lajos Ambruskó, he became the parish priest of the village between January 1953 and June 31, 1958.
