Alsoszel Lutheran Church
Building, structure
The parish church was built between 1874 and 1878 in a neoclassical style with romantic features based on the designs of the Galgóc architect Mór Szeszler. It was consecrated on October 27, 1878. Its facade faces east. Its fifteen-meter-high tower houses two bells. The spacious interior is characterized by simplicity and, due to its carefully chosen location, light. The altar and the pulpit above it are made of wood. The original oil painting altarpiece is a work of György Fleischmann from 1878. It depicts Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. The baptismal font (1878) is made of red Almás marble and has a copper cover. Its unique and well-known organ from 1878 is the work of the master organ builder Márton Saskó from Brezova. Next to the church, to the right is the parish building from 1837, and on the other side is the school built in 1902. ; One of the largest Lutheran churches in villages inhabited by Hungarians in Slovakia, with nearly five hundred seats.
