Adash Yisrael
Building, structure
During the “great controversy” of the 1920s, when Judaism was divided into two religious branches in Dunaszerdahely, the Ádász Yiszráel Prayer Association built a new church for itself in 1927 (at the end of the courtyard of a Jewish school). The synagogue, known as Ádász Yiszráel, did not approach the Great Temple in size, but it was large and spacious. After 1945, the synagogue was renovated, but after the emigration of the Jewish population, which returned in fragments, and then the indifference of the city, in the early 1950s, Ádász Yiszráel also suffered the same fate as the Great Temple – it was demolished.
