The former Gyürky mansion and the granary

Building, structure

The former ruined Gyürky mansion in Apátúfjalu was demolished a few years ago. In some places it is referred to as a Baroque castle, but in reality it was a two-winged, single-storey mansion with a tympanum with a colonnade in the middle. It was last inhabited by the Schusdek family. Opposite it, on the other side of the road, stood the Schusdek manor before World War II. Today, the long servants' houses here have also disappeared. One of the manor's large, two-storey granaries still stands, with its stone-framed windows, doors and ventilation openings. This is a fine example of old farm buildings.
