The former Vága mill
Postcard
Vága, 1940s; The former Vága mill was built after 1920, at the persuasion of 30 Vága farmers, at the behest of Prenghli Jr., the son of the notary Prenghli. The farmers pledged to repay the construction costs with their estates. Prenghli kept increasing the debt. One farmer, suspecting bankruptcy, had it written in his wife's name. Prenghli declared bankruptcy, the bank seized the lands of the Vága farmers and sold them. The mill, along with the outbuildings and garden, became the property of the Lelovics family in Pered, who sold it to Mrs. Schwitzer. ; From the book History of the Vága Parish by Lajos Danczi
