The iron-bodied artificial stone cross standing in front of the church
Sacred monument
“In front of the church, there is also an iron-bodied artificial stone cross with the following dedication: “For the glory of God / erected by the faithful / 1964.” Previously, a wooden cross covered with a semicircular tin canopy stood here, from which a cross foundation has also survived, which reads as follows: “The foundation laid by the elder Gábor György from Zsély and his wife, Erzsébet Gyurkovics, on September 30, 1901, for the maintenance of the wooden holy cross next to the church they built, for 40 years. Approved by the church authorities on November 18, 1901 under No. 4836/1901. (Danczi, 1975:81)””
