The first folk high school in the Highlands was organized in Léván in 1942 by the SzMKE with the support of ONCSA. The folk high school was such a success that this year I organized two folk high schools under the auspices of the SzMKE, the necessary funds for this were provided entirely by ONCSA. ; In 1943, the first women's folk high school of the SzMKE opened in Léván. The director of the folk high school was Tibor Féja, the district secretary of the SzMKE, its leader was Mrs. Tiborné Féja, a civil servant school teacher, and its supervisor was Bella Margit, a teacher. The folk high school lasted for one month. ; The following subjects were taught: religious studies, Hungarian literature, history, the history of Hungarian women, regional studies, folk studies, village and social studies, national economics, geography, agriculture, health, infant protection, arithmetic, natural history, art history, Hungarian folk songs, folk dances, cooking, sewing, tailoring, home industry and current issues. ; The lecturers of the folk high school were the following: Dr. Gyula Bógner, chief physician of the hospital, Rev. Pál Czeglédy, dean, Dr. Lajos Csillag, director of the agricultural school, Vilmos Dörnyei, assistant pastor, Sándor Dóka, secretary of folk culture, Károlvné Farkas, teacher, Tibor Féja, district secretary of the SzMKE, Tiborné Féja, civil school teacher, Bertalan Geöcze, director of the civil school, Imre Gyulai, assistant pastor, Dr. Aurél Hencz, inspector, Pál Kleiszner, deputy director of the high school, Pálné Sarnóczv, teacher, Tódorné Schubert, volunteer, head nurse of the Red Cross, Pál Sembery, agricultural school teacher, Dr. Mária Steiler, social inspector, Erzsébet Szabó, social care worker, Endre Vitéz, civil school teacher, József Szomolányi, high school teacher, Sára Taby, home industry lecturer, Dr. Nándor Uhlyárik, director of the Public Welfare Cooperative, Jánosné Vaincsó, teacher, Imre Vargha, central secretary of the Hungarian Social Welfare Association. ; The students of the folk high school were the following: Margit Lapos, Róza Katona (Barsbaracska), Irma K.
