Szliacki's Heart of Mary Cave
Sacral small monument
The Szliacky Heart of Mary cave is located near the church, opposite the road leading to the Házaskai Cemetery, in the small garden in front of house no. 272. It is a sacral structure like a picture cabinet, which András Szliacky and his wife had erected about forty years ago. The faithful used to stop here when going around. The rectangular iron cabinet was placed on a high concrete base. The iron frames on both sides and the top of the cabinet have glass panels. The front is door-like and can be opened. The statue of the Heart of Mary stands in the semicircular recess at the back, with electric lamps on a wooden frame around it. The top of the cabinet is semicircular and has a zinc lid. On top of this is a small iron cross, also with a zinc lid. Four concrete steps lead to the cave, with blue iron railings on both sides. Mary stands before us in a long blue robe and white veil, her right hand resting on her heart, from which rays of light are emanating, and in her left hand she holds three white lilies.
