Cemeteries, tombstones, graves

Uza-Panyit belonged to the Szentmiklóssy family of Primóczi. The Szentmiklóssy family came to own this estate when György Szentmiklóssy, a county serf judge, married Mária Uza. The ancestors of the family acquired their estates in Liptó and neighboring Szepes counties, and there one branch of the family, which owned the present-day Primócz (formerly Prym) village and region, also got its first name from there. Some members of the family then moved from there and settled in different parts of the country, especially in the 17th century. György II, who, as mentioned, married a Gömör county resident and settled in Uzapanyit. ; The Szentmiklóssy family built a tomb in the Uzapanyit cemetery. The site of the former crypt served as a dump for old wreaths until 2000. The Csemadok, which was re-established in the village, was cleared under the leadership of Erzsébet Homoly. At that time, the foundations of the outer wall of the former crypt, which Erzsébet Homoly and her sister Klára had dug around, became visible. On October 6, 2001, the Csemadok Uzapanyiti Alapsorzezete erected a headstone in honor of the 1848/49 War of Independence, Major Antal Szentmiklóssy and the Communal Guard András Demeter, who were born in the village. Zoltán Babucs, a representative of the Budapest Institute and Museum of Military History, remembered the thirteen from Arad in his ceremonial speech. The Uzapanyiti headstone is the work of István Ulman and Lajos Baffy, woodcarvers from Várhosszúrét. It was completed with the support of the Illyés Public Foundation and the Rimaszombat and Region Civic Association. ; The two heroes of 1848 did not die during the War of Independence.
