The Millennium headstone of Szapi

The 1000th anniversary of the formation of the Hungarian state caused a significant resonance in the region. This is evidenced by the fact that both neighboring settlements, Csiliznyárad and Szap, also erected monuments on the occasion of the anniversary. In Szap, the municipality undertook the construction of the headstone in 2000. It was created by the woodcarver Géza Nagy from Csicsó.
