The church, built in 1774-75, was built in Baroque-Classicist style directly on the orders of Maria Theresa. The Süttő marble plaque above the entrance to the church dedicated to the Virgin Mary is an exact copy of the plaque in the courtyard of the old town hall in Bratislava.
