The Reformed Cemetery of Nagymegyer
Cemeteries, tombstones, graves
In the cemetery street, opposite the Catholic cemetery, there is the Reformed cemetery, the exact formation of which is unknown. In 2013, there were 810 graves in the cemetery. The cemetery was built on an artificial hill, thus protecting the graves from the frequent floods and inland waters in previous centuries. In this cemetery we find the grave of the distinguished city judge Nagy Rátz József. The renovated grave of Zsigmond Szeghy, a military officer from 1848, the grave of the leaders of the Reformed Church of Nagymegyer (Károly Czike, Sándor Fekets, Dániel Végh) and the grave of public and cultural life (József Janiga, Tibor Ág).
