The Millencentenary Headstone
Statue, monument, memorial plaque
The headstone in the churchyard was erected on the occasion of the 1100th anniversary of the Conquest of Hungary on November 24, 1996, thanks to the Hungarian Christian Democratic Movement party. It was consecrated by the deacon of the Komárom diocese, the pastor of Ógyalla-bagota, Pál Erdélyi, and his daughter, the pastor of Tímea Erdélyi. The headstone was made by the woodcarver Béla Illés from Szímő, and engraved with the motto chosen by the people of Kamocsa: “Let us act in such a way that we may survive.”
