Memorial to the victims of World War II
Statue, monument, memorial plaque
In several settlements, the memory of the Jewish martyrs was immortalized by adding their names to newly erected or World War I monuments supplemented with the names of the victims of World War II. This solution was chosen, for example, in Nagytárkány in Bodrogköz, Csicsó in Csallóköz or Nemesócsa and several other places. The Nemesócsa monument was “consecrated and blessed according to the rituals of the Reformed, Roman Catholic, Evangelical and Israelite faith communities”. ; Between the three arches of the monument are three marble tablets containing the names of the victims, which originally had a bronze figure on top, which was stolen.
