Chapel dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lourdes

Several noble families settled in the village. Among them was the Hrosso family. One of their descendants mentioned several times a chapel that stood near their mansion. As it turned out later, it was not a chapel, but a Lourdes grotto. The following applications were submitted for the construction of the chapel: Nadácia Orange, Šanca pre Váš región 2011. The chapel, designed by Tamás Smidt, was finally built with the help of the Karvai Összevont Szakközépiskola, Korekt s.r.o. and its managing director László Nyers, Juvis s.r.o. Nitra, managing director Roman Kubica, and Czibor Zoltán s.r.o. Komárno, managing director Czibor Zoltán. The roof structure was made by Róbert Smidt from Szógyén and his father Ferenc Smidt. The chapel was completely completed thanks to the support received from the Ministry of National Resources. ; The three reliefs inside were also made by Róbert Smidt. The interior design focused on simplicity: the pilgrims are greeted by a kneeling figure in front of the altar, a tablet attesting to miraculous healings at the entrance, and portraits of Pope Pius IX and Pope John Paul II. ; The chapel is open to the public; the key must be obtained from the employees of the town hall next to the main square. ; The building was also included in the traveling exhibition presenting new and renovated sacred places in the V4 countries. In 2013, only five buildings from Slovakia were included in the list. One of these is the Lourdes Chapel in Karva.
