Memorial cross of displaced and deported families

In 2005, at the initiative of the parish (ThDr. János Karaffa), the local government (Mayor Erzsébet Csízik) and the Csemadok Baka Foundation (President Zsolt Darnai), a memorial site was established next to the church out of respect for the memory of the families who were displaced and deported from the village of Csallóköz after 1945. The village received the memorial cross as a donation. ; ; The commemoration held on the village day was held on August 27, 2005, to which members of the displaced and deported families were also invited, who each placed a candle in front of the memorial cross. ; ; With the support of the local government, a volume describing the events in Baka after 1945 was also published for this occasion.
