The Holy Trinity Church in Kisudvarnok
Building, structure
The chapel built on the hill was consecrated in 1735 by István Bakó, Bishop of Bratislava, in honor of the Holy Trinity. ; Later, the sacred space was expanded with a larger nave, and its interior was also transformed. Currently, the remaining chapel part is the sanctuary of the church. Only the Baroque image of the Holy Trinity remains from the old altar, and the sacrificial table takes the place of the high altar. To the side of it, on scaffolding, is the sanctuary. ; In 1972, the interior of the church was decorated with a modern fresco. At the bottom of the picture, the artist displayed the following letters as a confession of faith: AMDG, which in Latin reads: AD MAIOREM DEI GLORIAM, i.e. TO THE GREATER GLORY OF GOD. ; In the nave of the church, to the right of the entrance, a statue of the Madonna and to the left of the Heart of Jesus can be seen. The walls are decorated with the Stations of the Cross on both sides. In the vestibule, we can see the statue of Saint Joseph on the right and Saint Anthony of Padua on the left, and on the wall, the patron saints of youth: Saint Alajos and Saint Saniszlo Kosztka. Both paintings are oil paintings, according to the sign, they were made in 1878 by an artist named von Leiberger. ; On the wall next to the main entrance of the church, we can read the names of the HEROIC DEAD OF THE FIRST AND SECOND WORLD WARS.
