Fragments of the facade painting of the canon's house
Building, structure
The canon house on Szent Miklós Square (in its old Hungarian name: Főtemplom tér) is a building of medieval origin. Above the entrance, at the height of the first floor, two fragments of paintings can be seen. ; One depicts Saint Imre and Saint Stephen, the other depicts the Virgin Mary standing on a crescent moon. ; The inscriptions (chronostikons) under the paintings are unfortunately no longer complete, so the dates "hidden" there cannot be determined. ; The probable date of creation is the end of the 1600s. Most of the local city guides also mention them as being from the 17th century.
