The Catholic Church of Jólesz
Building, structure
The Cházár András Foundation, founded in 1990, renovated and transformed the birthplace into a Catholic church. The house regained its form from the last reconstruction. A new roof structure with a dark brown roof covering was added to the collapsed arches. In the northern part of the building, a small bell tower rises from the roof, with a curved roof. The new bell is placed here. Thus, the entire building slightly covers the facade of the new cultural center that was added. ; The church was built between 1995-1997 with public donations, and a memorial plaque was unveiled at the entrance in 2007. ; ; Life: ; András Cházár (Jólész, June 5, 1745 - Rozsnyó, January 28, 1816): lawyer, judge, county clerk, legal writer, advocate of the downtrodden and disabled, enthusiastic initiator of the establishment of the first Hungarian special education institution (the Deaf Education House in Vác, 1802).
