The Calvary of Felsővámos
Sacral small monument
The most significant monument of the village is the Calvary. It was established in 1925 with donations from the villagers. The exact date of its consecration is November 21, 1926. The fenced area of the Calvary contains 14 stations of Jesus' suffering. These are visual art forms of the story of Jesus' suffering (stations). In addition, three wooden crosses are placed on a small hill in the Calvary garden. In the middle, the crucified Jesus can be seen, with a thief crucified on the right and left next to him. Near the wooden crosses is a protected oak tree, which is about 200 years old. Every year, on Good Friday, the day of Christ's death, the Christian inhabitants of the village leave the church in the late afternoon hours and go to Calvary in a slow procession, praying, where they relive the pains of Jesus' way of the cross.
