The “White Image” (Fehír kíp) image column in Csallóközkürt

Along the road leading from Csallóközkürt to Dunaszerdahely, there is a picture pillar called “Fehír kíp” (White Picture) by the villagers of the former village border. The white-painted brick pillar has a double cross on its red-tinted top. In the picture niches we find a Saint Vendel, a painting of the heart of Jesus, and a picture of the Virgin Mary with the baby Jesus, which were painted by István Végh, a painter from Kürt, in 1989. ; According to oral tradition, the picture pillar itself was erected by the Kürt farmer Vendel Bugár sometime in the second half of the 1800s
