The Bacsák family of Benefá had an important role in the county of Bratislava as early as the 17th century. The names of József and János are already mentioned in the noble census of this family in 1755. János was a vice-governor in the county of Bratislava (1764), then a councilor at the Hungarian royal governorship (1787). József was also a councilor (1770). ; The Bacsák family has owned significant estates in Nagylég, Előpatony, Síposkarcsa since the first decades of the last century and owns almost the entire village of Szász with landlord rights. He writes his first name from Benefá. Kristóf acquired the nobility. ; Among the distinguished members of the Bacsák family was Zsigmond Bacsák, priest of the altar of Bratislava, canon of Bratislava. He died on April 28, 1784, and is buried in Nagyszombat. He also carried out scientific work in accordance with the spirit of the time. ; Miklós Bacsák was the chief prosecutor of Bratislava County in the last century. His son Pál Bacsák was born in Szász in Benefa in 1836. He held several positions in Bratislava County, was the county's sub-notary (1861), the county's chief notary (1867), and then in 1863 he was the county's vice-governor. In 1880 he resigned from the vice-governor's position and took on the role of estate administrator for the Pálffy family. ; Pál Bacsák's brother István lived and farmed in Szász. Another member of the family, Kálmán Bacsák, died in 1880 as the president of the orphanage. ; Dr. Kálmán Bacsák was the chief civil servant of the Somorja district. He was born in Bratislava on April 13, 1883. His father was the aforementioned Kálmán, and his mother was Jozefin Láng. The young Kálmán began his legal studies in Bratislava at the turn of the century (1901-1905), and then obtained a doctorate from the Law University of Cluj. He began his public career in Bratislava in 1905, where he served in the prosecutor's office. He worked there until 1922, and then from 1935 he was the government commissioner for public administration in Csadca. In addition to his native language, he spoke German, French and Slovak.
