Monument to the victims of World War II in Balony
Statue, monument, memorial plaque
After World War II, the political authorities did not allow the creation of a monument or memorial plaque in the region in memory of the soldiers of the Hungarian army who fell in World War II. A rare exception is the village of Balony, where a monument was erected on Fő Street, in front of the Roman Catholic church, in memory of the 26 soldiers of the village who fell in World War II in 1957.
