Memorial to the victims of World War II

The inhabitants of the village of Nagyfödémes keep a memorial plaque in the local cemetery with the names of the heroes who died in World War II. In addition to the names of the men from Nagyfödémes who died heroically on the fronts of the war, there are also the names of six Hungarian patriots who died heroically in the rearguard battles, as well as the names of the residents of Nagyfödémes who died in one of the concentration camps of Jewish origin. The erection of the memorial plaque, which can be seen in the square in front of the morgue, was encouraged by Ede Nágel, the mayor. The ceremonial inauguration of the monument took place on September 14, 1994.
