“On March 15, 2017, in the center of Lukanénye, located in the Nagykürtös district, the monument erected in honor of the 1848/49 revolution and freedom struggle was inaugurated in a ceremonial setting. The local government had the monument erected jointly with the Hungarian sister settlement of Nézsa. ; The pedestal and the stone of the monument, placed in the central park of the village, were made by the local government, and the village of Nézsa donated the marble slab to the village in the Felvidék region. The following inscription can be read on the marble slab: Brother, never be unfaithful to the holy faith of your ancestors, to the roots of your nation.“
