1848/49 Csilizpatas military grave

During the Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence of 1848/49, 30 soldiers from the village of Csilizpatas fought in the Hungarian army. One of them was soldier Péter Simon, who was enlisted on September 7, 1848, at the age of 20. His grave, unfortunately, is neglected in the old cemetery of Csilizpatas.

Here rests in the Lord K. H. Péter Simon, a soldier of the Hungarian army of 1848/49. He died on October 14, 1895, at the age of 67. And his wife Simon Julianna. May their souls rest in peace.
