World War I memorial in Alsószecse

At the beginning of the twentieth century, out of the almost entirely Hungarian inhabitants of the settlement - according to the names on the World War I memorial - 19 gave their lives for their Hungarian homeland. ; After the Second World War, more than half of the Hungarian population of Alsószecse (56 families) was resettled to Hungary. In 2011, 38 of its 417 inhabitants declared themselves Hungarian.
