World War I and II Memorial in Ipolypástó
Statue, monument, memorial plaque
By the end of October 1918, 180 men from Ipolypástó had enlisted in the military, which represented one-sixth of the village's population. Of these, 40 people were killed and 40 were taken prisoner. The number of names listed on the monument shows that the Second World War claimed 23 lives. ; The memory of the Ipolypástó residents who fell in the wars is preserved by a black marble monument erected in front of the church. On top of it is a white marble military cap surrounded by a wreath.
